A former area of wasteland has been transformed into a huge community area for the residents of East Taunton after receiving an award from Valencia Communities Fund.
Play equipment, a basketball and football pitch, a BMX race track and half-a-mile of pathways comprise the new facility, open 24-hours a day to all in the surrounding area. A true community scheme, the Viridor Green has seen ten years worth of campaigning and local fund-raising culminate in an amenity that everyone can enjoy. From BMXers to walkers, toddlers to seniors, the play park can offer something to everyone in the nearby Halcon and Lambrook communities. The Viridor Green was officially opened in March 2012.
