In November 2015, an application was received from Cherwell Wellbeing Hub to help transform an acre of overgrown and disused land by creating a multi-functional and environmentally-sustainable space for use by the whole community.
An award of £88,061 was made to the applicants and work quickly began on landscaping and the creation of various zones within the garden. These included a Cosy Shed, performance zone, safe dipping pond, growing zones and a sensory garden amongst others. To benefit the surrounding wildlife, miniture habitats were created, such as the bug hotel.
The space that has been created is calming and totally unique and is already being well used by everyone from the local community. A shining testament to everyone involved.
