Chestfield Cricket Club

When repeated flooding of the practice nets at Chestfield Cricket Club was threatening to put an end to the training facilities, the club turned to the Landfill Communities Fund to save its practice nets.

The application to Valencia Communities Fund provided the Club with enough funding to replace the damaged nets. They were also able to use the grant to install adequate drainage in the surrounding area to ensure that the amenity could be used for longer and by more people.

With works taking a little over 5 months in total, beginning with the drainage, the club can now look forward to a safe and dry area to practice in for years to come.
