Over the last week, the UK Government has issued a number of statements on how best to slow the spread of the coronavirus, including limiting working to home working where appropriate. Valencia Communities Fund is preparing now to close the office and implement a policy of home working for the duration of the pandemic. This means that a number of our functions may be limited.
Our aim is to operate as normally as possible. This includes:
- Continuing to process payment requests for our current funded projects
- Administering new stage 1 and stage 2 applications
- Making decisions on funding
In addition, pending guidance from the regulator of the Landfill Communities Fund, Valencia Communities Fund is prepared to be flexible for projects that are affected by measures designed to slow the spread of COVID-19. Our aim is for all current projects to have access to the funds that have been awarded to them by waiving the first deadline (the six-month deadline) for draw down for all projects. We are prepared to extend the final deadline for as long as necessary in order for our applicants to complete their projects.
Some of our functions will be severely limited by the closure of the office:
- Access to physical post will be limited - this includes contributing third party payment forms and cheques
- Contact by phone will be limited
If you have any queries or concerns regarding the contents of this email or how the coronavirus outbreak may affect your project, please get in touch through your online application portal.
Take care
The Valencia Communities Fund team
