A number of our projects have a completion deadline within the next six months.
Due to the uncertainty of contractor availability and the social-distancing measures implemented by the UK Government, a large number of projects will not be able to meet the final deadline for drawing down funding.
In line with guidance from the regulator of the Landfill Communities Fund, ENTRUST, any project in England that has a final deadline for drawing down the Valencia Communities Fund award up to 31 August 2020 will be automatically extended to 30 September 2020.
For applications in Scotland, Valencia Communities Fund will apply the same rule.
If a project requires a further extension to this completion date, then this will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Any project with a final deadline later than 31 August 2020 is unaffected by this change, but may be extended on request nearer the deadline date.
