The old clubhouse interior had become extremely dated and unwelcoming for the local community. The layout also restricted use as a multi-user facility, so the club requested £50,000 from Valencia Communities Fund towards the re-modelling and modernisation of the clubhouse.
The whole club house was stripped of its old fixtures and fittings in one day by a horde of volunteers followed the next day with specialist workers arriving to create the new space.
The result is a clubhouse that has been transformed into a fresh modern space to be enjoyed by all. It has been a successful project with increased bookings, as the space is a much more functional and desirable place to be, and members are spending more time within the lounge area.
