The Chesterfield Round Walk was an ambitious project to connect 34 miles of public footpaths around the fringes of Chesterfield. The walk takes in many sites of former industrial activity, now reclaimed by nature and blending in to the countryside.
The route has been broken down into six stages, and funding from various organisations, including Valencia Communities Fund, has helped Chesterfield & NE Derbyshire Ramblers Assn to improve the walk with footbridges, stiles, improved footpaths and interpretation boards.
