In late 2016, Valencia Communities Fund received an application from the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton, Somerset, requesting funding to revamp their tired and dated children’s play area – to turn it into an amazing space to celebrate the launch of HMS Queen Elizabeth.
The play area was doubled in size and themed pieces of equipment were installed representing different parts of an aircraft carrier, helicopter and plane.
Valencia Communities Fund was very excited to be part of this amazing transformation - something that will last and be well used for years to come by the local community and visitors alike.
