Monkey Park play space was tired and worn out. The play area was well over twenty years old, the equipment was in poor condition and the safety surface was worse, unsafe and hazardous. The very active Friends Group has been instrumental in raising funds to install three seats. Valencia Communities Fund has funded £45,929 to enable the provision of a new play space comprising multiplay climbing and sliding structures, a roundabout, swings and see saw. The grant also paid for new safer surfacing, ground graphics and play mounds. This is a well supported community play area that is now safe to use.
