A project years in the planning, St Ive Parish Council received an award of £52,856 towards the creation of a brand new wooden play area for the children of this small village in Cornwall.
The existing equipment on site was tired, tatty and in no fit state to be used. Once the project was underway, this old equipment was removed and a beautiful and inclusive play area was installed.
The wooden structures, which include a climbing frame and zip wire, blend in the the natural look of the area. The brightly-coloured surfacing will help attract a myriad of users, ensuring the park is enjoyed for years to come.
