Following some slips and trips around the church grounds, PCC members and volunteers from St Mary’s Church in Copythorne felt it was time to address the poor state of the driveway and paths leading to and from the church.
Works were identified and a funding application was submitted to Valencia Communities Fund in May of 2017. Funding was awarded in September 2017 and work commenced very shortly thereafter resurfacing the church drive and the lychgate pathways.
The new pathways and drive look amazing and will last for years to come. The pathways and drive were officially rededicated in a ceremony conducted by the Bishop of Southampton in March 2018.
