Devon Wildlife Trust has completed improvements to its popular Elmsworthy Nature Reserve, thanks in part to an award of £14,640 from Valencia Communities Fund.
The spectacular site on the edge of Dartmoor had seen an army of volunteers participate in the Opening Up Emsworthy Initiative, which meant one third of the site was accessible via a network of paths and boardwalks.
Further improvements were needed in order to fully realise the potential of the site, and the award from the Landfill Communities Fund has enabled a second phase of scrub clearance, fencing and boardwalk-laying, carried out by volunteers.
